The centre of the centenary year, and the one date to put in the diary if you only come to one thing. The whole site is open from eleven until late.
The archive exhibition runs all day in the hall. The decade tents on the field are the part people talk about afterwards - one per decade from the 1930s, each staffed by people who were here then, and they fill up in an order nobody can ever predict. The centenary garden opens at three. There is music on the terrace through the afternoon, a hog roast from six, and a performance in the evening by current students and a good number of former ones.
Festival day tickets cover the exhibition, the tents, the afternoon music and the garden opening. The hog roast and the evening performance are ticketed separately. Children under five come free and do not need a ticket. Please book by 19 June so we can cater - nine hundred is the cap and the fiftieth sold out.
